Make the most of your listing

When creating a listing on International Villas there are a few parameters to take into consideration. A few things to know, in order to get the most out of your listing, based on how our system searches and is used.

Titles

When giving your listings a title, choose keywords you think others may search on. This may be an unofficial area name or a desired feature of your property, for example: private pool, garden, penthouse, sea views or recently renovated.

Descriptions

When creating your description, be sure to add all desirable features – there are plenty of resources online to help you get started, with tips, tricks, do’s and don’ts.

Price

Please enter all prices in AUD. After this, you can use the “Change your Currency” widget to view the price in your own currency – please be aware that this is an estimated amount as the currency exchange fluctuates often.

Renters

If you are listing a rental property use the “After Price Label” to distinguish whether your price listed is as per week or per month. See the example below.

Category

Choosing a category is fairly straight forward. Select whether you are listing a house, villas, townhouse etc.

And whether it is listed for rent, sale or lease.

Images

Chose eye catching images with the most attractive aspect of your property as the thumbnail. To select a thumbnail, simply double click the image you wish to use once it has been uploaded. You may also drag and drop your images to create a desired order.

For more help with images see our Real Estate Photography page.

Video

When adding a video to your listing, the video must first be uploaded to either youtube or vimeo. After this you will need to locate your Video ID

Locating your Video ID – Youtube

The easiest way to locate your Video ID is the URL address, however this is sometimes long and confusing. The best way to find your Video ID is by click “Share”

Once you see the popup, the URL is simplified and your Video ID is the combination of letters and numbers.

Locating your Video ID – Vimeo

Once your video is uploaded, your Video ID is simply the numbers in the URL address

Virtual Tours

Your virtual tour needs hosting and is accessible via a URL. This should be given to you by the creator of the Virtual Tour.

Insert the URL into this snippet of code

<iframe src=”ADD YOUR VIRTUAL TOUR URL HERE” width=”800″ height=”500″ frameborder=”0″></iframe>

Which will end up looking something like this:

<iframe src=”www.virtualtour.com/example123” width=”800″ height=”500″ frameborder=”0″></iframe>
