For the over 50’s lifestyle, it’s the perfect place to slow down and watch the world go by, as real estate and living are a lot cheaper than in Australia. Spend your days relaxing at the beach, playing golf, playing tennis, surfing, exploring, shopping, travelling or a myriad of other things. Some excellent hospitals and medical practices are in Phuket and central to the island.
People from all over the world live work or retire in Thailand and Phuket. Retirement should be a happy time where life can let you be. The friendly and helpful Thai nature respects older adults and it’s easy to be part of the island population. Cost of living is also inexpensive so if you’ve travelled your own country, looking for an alternative and want to spend some real quality time, Phuket would have to be high on the list.

If you love markets, they are everywhere and the incredible thing about Phuket is you’re not far from nearly everywhere on the island. Diverse with surf beaches and calm beaches, rural areas, tourist area’s and residential.
